Kara has been a contributing editor for All About Vision (AAV) for several years. Her contributions include proofreading, publishing and updating content, including graphics and visuals.

Kara's prior professional experience includes work as marketing manager and program coordinator for Active Network, where she was responsible for the marketing and fulfillment processes of its membership program, negotiating better member benefits, developing a monthly member newsletter and researching consumer industry trends.

She holds a bachelor of science degree in health science and a minor in nutrition from James Madison University.
